In 2014, Sounder and Allie began competing at the Advanced/3* level, earning top placings including 4th place in the Advanced at Morven Park, 8th place at the Poplar Place CIC3*, and 9th at the Jersey Fresh CIC3*. The Dark Mark (Jordan)

Owner: Jen Smith

imageThe Dark Mark, “Jordan”, is a rescued Off-The-Track Thoroughbred owned by Jen Smith. Jen competed him up until she suffered an injury and then gave the ride to Allie. Jordan has shown endless potential under Allie’s training and because of this Jen decided to let them continue their partnership. She has high hopes for his future, including a four-star down the road if all goes well!

In 2014, Allie and Jordan contested the CCI1* together at Bromont, adding only one unlucky rail to their dressage score. They finished 2nd in their first Intermediate and shortly thereafter completed the CIC2* at Plantation Field, and finished 10th in the CIC2* at Morven Park and completed the CCI2* at Fair Hill International.

In 2015, Allie and Jordan continued to progress, starting their season by adding only cross-country time to their dressage score in the Red Hills International CIC2*. They went on to finish 10th in the CIC2* at Carolina International, 7th in the Advanced at The Fork, and 10th in the CIC3* at Jersey Fresh. They completed the CCI3* at Bromont in 13th place, and added only cross-country time to their dressage score in the CIC3* at Richland Park.

Allie and Jordan had a solid outing in the Advanced at Rocking Horse to start off their 2016 season, following with an 11th place finish in the CIC2* at Carolina International and completed the CIC3* at the Fork. They went on to finish the year off placing 2nd in the Open Intermediate/Preliminary at the Midsouth Pony Club Horse Trial.

Fergie, as she was called around the barn, was one of the most impressive mares to grace the sport in recent history. Finishing as the 2nd ranked mare in the country in 2010 and claiming multiple titles in 2011, Fergie had an impressive record and moved up through the levels together with Allie. Their incredible bond flourished over the years, resulting in several wins including multiple top finishes at the 3* level. Allie and Fergie were named to the Developing Rider program in 2011, marking their third straight appearance on the list. The pair was also awarded a Land Rover Grant to pursue international competition at Boekelo CCI3*. In 2013, they competed successfully at the Advanced level during the spring before making their CCI4* debut at Rolex, finishing as the top American pair following the dressage phase of competition. In 2014, Allie and Fergie added more top placings to their record, including 2nd place at the Red Hills International CIC3*. Fergie was leased by AKEventing working student Molly and became a wonderful teacher. Together Molly and Fergie won the CIC1* at The Fork. Sadly, in 2016 Allie lost Fergie. She was incredibly special to Allie and she is forever grateful for everything Fergie has given her in both her life and career. Allie will love her always.
